About this Site
About the name "Bottom Up Politics"
The following is from the preamble to the original blog "Bottom Up Politics"
"This site is meant to facilitate the upward flow of information to our
elected officials in order to help them make better
informed decisions about how government operates according to
how “we the people” think it should. Then help elect
those who agree. This gets done by simply asking
"WHAT CAN I DO TODAY"
Then doing it.
Why the new Website?
To stay true to that concept above, this website hopes to give
the "FiveCounty" parties and their candidates an added web presence
to help get the word out.
The added options of this web vs a blog site will I hope
provide an extra reason for the "Five Counties" and the candidates to list their events and fundraisers here.
Why "The Five Counties"
Simply said, Unity.
I hope this site can evolve into a place the "Five Counties" can
learn from what the others are doing. Take the bad and
leave the rest. The recent "Flag Giveaway" suggested
at an Oceana County meeting helped not only them but the Muskegon County booth at our Fair.
Our Party needs new members, we will get them with new ideas and
the new media is one way to speed up that process.
The Side Bar Buttons.
On the left hand side is the Side Bar and all the "Navigation" buttons.
They are pretty self explanatory. Click one and see. The main idea is that the Side Bar is where all the information is. There will be new buttons added as I go. The info will be updated as I get it from the members of
The "Five Counties"
Note also that some of the buttons have drop down
menus, they are activated by holding your
Mouse cursor over the main button for a second, then going to your choice of the drop down menue; more will be added.
I hope we can build this site into a place where anyone
interested in becoming a Republican or in helping the Republicans
can easily find their way.
A place not to wallow in our misery but a place to come up with new ideas
- to supply a vision -
to lead us to victory in 2010
How it Will Work
This site's content will be driven by and be dependent upon
the Different County Parties
and their Candidates.
It will be up to them to pass along the information they have
for me to put on the site.
I want the County Leaderships and any of the candidates
to let me know what they wish me to put up.
Just email me
by clicking the top right of site on my email link,
or the "Contact Us" button.
Please leave your contact # so I can call to confirm the data.
I will do my best to not favor any one candidate over the other.
But I can only post what I receive.
I ask the candidates to send me only event info.
for the "Calendar buttton, or press releases.
I will continue to write my blogs.
The "local blog" and "blog" buttons have the same info. and it comes from my "Bottom Up Politics" blog.
I will settle on one.
The "National Blog" is a copy of my "Live Dangerously" Blog.
This will get straightened out as I progress.
At some point I will quit the blogsite outside of this site,
time will tell.
I hope to add interactive features as I learn more. Maybe a
" Guest Precinct Delegate" blog. If you have an idea let me know.
The Theory.
The "Build it and They Will Come" theory. We need to spend a little money and a lot of time to get more members.
The money will come after we attract the members.
