A statewide petition drive has been launched to guarentee Michigan Citizens their right to have free choice in health care.

This drive needs 381,000 valid signatures, to get that we need 500,000.

Wendy Day at the above link and president of Common Sense in Government. Along with state legislator Tom McMillin and other state lawmakers backed by Tea Party groups and other interested groups launched this effort March 22nd.  

The response has been fast.  The job of setting up county coordinators was and is still on going.  The main goal is to get as many petitions as possible to as many people in order to collect enough signatures.

This is not a strictly Tea Party thing.  The Republican State Party through its Fix Michigan Centers has just come around to the idea and is getting behind this in a big way.

They are shooting to help gather 100,000 signatures that will be a big help to the effort.

Get in contact with your local Tea Parties or County Chairs of the Republican Party and they should be able to direct you to petitions.
