Political breakdown of Districts; for state and national governments, (by Map), for the “Five County” area.

The “Five County” area includes

Mason, Lake, Oceana,

Newaygo and Muskegon 

 

National Districts

The two US Senate seats each cover the whole state; all of us within the “Five Counties” vote for both.

The US House of Representatives has 15 Districts Representing Michigan. These are commonly referred to as "Congressional Seats" Below is a link to all 15 US Reps. From Mi.

All of the “Five Counties” are in Congressional District #2 which is currently held by Pete Hoekstra.

State Wide Races (Districts)

The race for Governor, Secretary of State (SOS) and Attorney General (AG) are all True State Wide Elections.  Everyone in the state can vote.

Michigan has a State House and State Senate.

State Senate Districts.

Michigan has 38 State Senate Districts

As you can see from the map below ; Mason, Oceana, 
Newaygo and Muskegon are in the 34th Senate District.

 Lake county is in the 35th.

Gerold Van Woerkhom is the current Senator
of the 34th and Michelle McManus is the current Senator 
for the 35th

Both are term limited out.
We need to retain these seats.!!!

State House Districts

As you can see by the map below, Muskegon County is broken up into the 91st and 92nd District.  Roughly speaking the first map of the 91st surrounds the 92nd map.  If you live in the City of Muskegon, Muskegon Heights, North Muskegon or Laketon and Fruitland Townships you vote in the 92nd.  If you are outside those areas and cities you are in the 91st.
Note also that Chester township of Ottawa County
through the magic of Gerrymandering
is in the 91st

Maps for the 100th and 101st

Of the "Five Counties" - Newaygo, Oceana and Lake Counties are in the 100th District.  Goeff Hansen is their current Representative. We need to retain that seat. 

Of the "Five Counties" - Mason County is in the 101st District. We need to elect a Republican for the 101st Dist. and pick up a seat there. To help bring the State House back into Republican Hands.
